2021 Summer Camp Scholarship Application

The Boonshoft Museum of Discovery has scholarship opportunities that include both in-person camps and Camp in a Box kits. The Boonshoft Museum of Discovery is a non-profit organization; in order to maximize the impact of funds which have been granted to our organization to distribute to the public in the form of summer camp scholarships, the Boonshoft Museum will limit awards to one per household.  Camp in a Box kits must be picked up at the museum. All Camp Scholarship applicants for Camp in a Box must live in the Greater Dayton Region to be considered.

Each applicant needs to:
1. Live in the Dayton, OH area
2. Complete the form below.
3. Provide proof* of free/reduced lunch.

Applications will be accepted as long as camp registration is open and funds remain available. 

Because scholarship funding is limited we ask that applicants complete the process as soon as possible. Recipients will be notified as soon as they are approved, but please note that scholarships may NOT be applied retroactively to camps for which you have already registered. Approval can take up to three (3) weeks from the date that the application is complete.

*All documentation may be uploaded with this form or submitted separately, but must be included for the application to be considered complete and evaluated for a scholarship.

*Note: If you cannot upload documentation here, it must be sent by email ([email protected]), or via USPS (Boonshoft Museum of Discovery, c/o Summer Camp Scholarships, 2600 DeWeese Parkway, Dayton, OH 45414). Applications without supporting documents are not complete and will not be considered for a scholarship.
