Learning Pod Registration
Looking for a safe and supportive learning environment for your child this fall? The Boonshoft Museum of Discovery is now offering small group Learning Pods for students grades K through 12.
With many school districts opting to go virtual at the start of the 2020-21 school year, we are offering a structured environment for your child to accomplish their schoolwork and enjoy the resources available to them at the museum. Each pod will have a maximum of 9 students and will be filled on a weekly first come, first served basis. Proper cleaning and social distancing will be maintained with each pod and temperatures will be taken at drop-off each day. Under the professional supervision of museum staff, we will make sure your child stays engaged with their individual course load.

Pods are filled week by week, on a first come, first served basis - but you can register for more than one week or a full 9 weeks at a time.
DISCLAIMER: Because we are serving students from all over the Miami Valley, we are unable to accommodate each district’s scheduled days off and/or in-service days. Please be aware of your child’s school schedule/calendar when choosing your dates. All sales are considered final, and refunds will not be issued.
Registration will close for learning pods at 12:00 pm EST on the Friday prior to the beginning of every scheduled week.
Aftercare is available until 5:30pm Monday through Friday. During this time children may spend time in the museum, or engage in STEM activities under the supervision of Museum educators. Pre-registration is required.

All options are 8:00am - 4:00pm. Students can be dropped off as early as 7:30am.
Five days (Monday through Friday): Cost $300
Four Days: Cost $280
Three Days: Cost $210
Two Days: Cost $140
One Day: Cost $70
Learning Pods will be CLOSED on Monday, January 18 and Monday, February 15 for staff in-service days.

After care
After care is available until from 4:00 pm - 5:30pm Monday through Friday. Pre-registration is required.
1 to 4 days: $15 per day5 days: $50
Inclement weather
We are using the Remind app to communicate with all Learning Pod parents/guardians. This will allow us to let you know if the Learning Pods will be closed or have a delay in opening. Instructions to sign up for the Remind app are included in your confirmation.

This section identifies people who are authorized to pick up the registered student from the Museum. Only authorized adults listed below (other than the parent/guardian filling out this form) may pick up children. If there are more than 4 adults, please email [email protected]For your child's safety, photo identification will be required at pick-up every day.
The Boonshoft Museum of Discovery (BMD) uses images and sounds of children and staff participating in Museum programs as a way of documenting the experiences they have while exploring science and the Museum. In consideration of the above, I hereby give my permission and consent to BMD to (1) photograph, film, and video/audio tape my child, and, (2) to use and display images and sounds of my child on BMD websites, archives, and promotional or informational material, including, but not limited to, newsletters, brochures, advertisements, and newspaper articles for its publicity and use to illustrate and promote the camp experience, and I hereby waive and release on behalf of my child and myself any rights to compensation for, or ownership of, such images and/or sounds of my child and the above uses of them by BMD. I have read this audio/visual image release and agree to its terms and conditions.
