Ambassador Animals

Have a personal encounter with three (3) of our ambassador animals! Whether it's a prickly hedgehog, or a stealthy screech owl, you'll be guaranteed a fun time.

Reptile Ranger

Slimy & Scales

Get up close and personal with amphibians, reptiles, and other invertebrates during this unique experience. You may meet some of our hissing cockroaches, tarantulas, millipedes, snakes, and lizards.

Unhuggables Tour

Take a tour with our Live Animal Curator, Donna Harrison, to meet some of our "Unhuggable" animals. Learn about our bat colony, Lucy the Turkey Vulture, one of our resident snakes, and other not-so-cuddly creatures!

Otterly Adorable

Spend some time with our playful otter brothers, Eno and Sikwa. Watch as the otters get some of their favorite treats from their keepers, and learn about North American river otters and their history in Ohio. This experience takes place in our Discovery Zoo outside of the otter habitat.

Ambassador Animal BTS Tour

Go behind the scenes to meet our ambassador animals! These animals participate in educational programming both onsite and away at schools. You'll meet furry, feathered, and scaly friends!

Turtle-ly Awesome

Meet up to three (3) species of turtles for this slow-rolling encounter! Feed a treat or two and learn all about our turtle and tortoise ambassadors.

Zookeeper Tour

Tour our Discovery Zoo with one of our professional animal care staff! Learn some of the behind the scenes stories of the habitats and the animals. Learn what it's really like to be an animal keeper in an AZA accredited zoo.

Animal Photography Tour

Bring your camera* and capture ambassador animals' good side! You'll get to photograph one to three (1-3) of our ambassador animals and be featured on our social media pages. Once booked, you will work with our keepers to choose your animal models.
